HEADER DESIGN COMMENTS - Hurst "HAIRY" OLDS Restoration.

As a Header Parts supplier, we contributed materials to the construction of the headers on the restoration of the HURST "HAIRY" Oldsmobile - probably one of the most impressive "exhibition" drag racing cars ever built. With two blown 425" Oldsmobile engines (front AND back) using Toronado front end assemblies, the car was capable of "smoking" the tires (front AND back) the entire length of the quarter mile. Denny Mothershed of Victory Performance Parts in Des Moines, Iowa is the owner and restoration expert. Skip Lisell, of Lisell Automotive in Fridley, Minnesota (763-784-8221), who actually worked for HEADERS BY "ED" a number of years ago, is the designer and constructor of the headers shown here.
